Training Moments- Lance Lynn
Two years ago Lance Lynn at the All Star break contacted Jay Lehr from the Roundtripper Academy in Indianapolis. Jay took a PPD and went to work with Lance. He helped by lengthening Lance’s stride and back side initiation to increase extension at release point. Lance finished the 2010 season strong and in his last game of season struck out 16 batters setting a St. Louis minor league record. Lance has owned a PPD since then. In the 2011 season he was called up in early June and finished with the Cardinals in the World Series with 10 post season appearances.
Training Moments- Drew Storen
Two and a half years ago Drew contacted Pitchers Power Drive as a result of training on the Pitchers Power Drive at his winter workout location….the Roundtripper Academy in Indianapolis with instructor Jay Lehr. He said he loved the Pitchers Power Drive and ask us to ship a Pitchers Power Drive to him for his personal use. He now has four PPD’s….one at the Nationals stadium, one at his condo, one in Indy and at his Florida winter workout facility.
Training Moments- Rick Knapp, Royals Minor League Pitching Coordinator
2011 Detroit Tigers pitching coach Rick Knapp saw the Pitchers Power Drive 3 1/2 years ago at the Perfect Game World Wood Bat Tournament in Jupiter FL. He asked to take one to the Arizona fall league and use with some coaches and pitchers. Later he ordered four more Pitcher Power Drives for the Tigers. With a new 3rd mound at Tigers stadium Coach Knapp had a spot for a PPD in the bullpen. The PPD being visible prior to a game during batting practice….the Baltimore pitching coach called from Detroit’s stadium and asks to send a couple Pitchers Power Drives to Camden Yards.
Training Moments- Cleveland Indians
Cleveland Indians called Pitchers Power Drive prior to the 2011spring training season and ordered four Pitcher Power Drives to be sent to Arizona Goodyear Ballpark. After spring training ended the Indians ordered two more. Then prior to the 2012 season ordered two more PPD’s.
Training Moments- St. Johns pitching Coach, Scott Brown
St. Johns pitching Coach, Scott Brown called last week and requested another Pitchers Power Drive. He shared with us that one of his past pitchers called and told him about using the PPD with his AAA team and that it has already helped him gain 3 mph to 96 mph. He said he was using his hips but not maximizing them and the PPD made him feel it and adjust. This pitcher is with the Cleveland Indians.
